It's elitist attitudes like this that keep the rich people rich and the poor people poor. How are poor people supposed to get themselves out of the gutter and get decent jobs and become valuable members of society if they can't afford education? Think about it. 7  out of 8 found this valuable. Do you?

education IS a right however it is not a requirement. besides this is the stupidest most ill informed idea i've come across yet. talk about a skills shortage, imagine if half of australia didnt have an education. how could the poor afford the thousands of dollars a year for a good private education? who would pay for the private schools most of which operate at a loss anyway, there is no profit to be gained in running one. how could we have a proper democracy if half the people didnt know how our system worked. i think i've said enough but if you need me to i can go on 3  out of 3 found this valuable. If I wanted to simultaneously drive up unemployment, inequality and inflation in the long term I couldn't think of a better method of doing so that removing investments in education. 4  out of 5 found this valuable. Do you?
