Governments and industries view families and their progeny as merely inputs into the economy. I think it's about time the business of raising a family is given the same tax credits as other resources utilised by business to build the economy. All maintenance costs associated with conducting a business are counted as tax deductions. Therefore all maintenance costs associated with raising children should be declared a tax deduction eg education, health, travel, fitness, accomodation, clothing, food - basically everything except entertainment and gifts.
